For some reason, NHRA decided to change the name of the National Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green Kentucky a couple years ago and now it is called the Wall Parks Nostalgia Nationals. In California, where the California Hot Rod Reunion has been a huge race and event for decades, we streamed years and years of racing and how action. We also did the same at Beech Bend, but haven’t been in a few years now. So when our friend Tommy Lee Byrd posted up some video from this great event, we were thrilled. And it does not disappoint. Check out all these cool rides!

The Wally Parks Nostalgia Nationals (previously known as the Hot Rod Reunion) is a great place to see historic drag cars, hot rods and wild creations. It’s always held on Father’s Day weekend and my dad and I love to go. While the event has diminished drastically since we first started going in 2008, it’s still one of the greatest collections of nostalgia drag cars East of the Mississippi. We were only there for a day, but let’s take a walk through and see some of the things that caught my attention.

Classic Car Liquidators Show Coverage: North Texas’ Gearhead Paradise Draws Some Seriously Cool Hot Rods, Classics, Muscle Cars, And More!

(Words and Photos by Kaleb Kelley) For the first time, we hosted a car show at Classic Car Liquidators to bring a bunch of friends and customers together. We were all a little nervous to make sure it went smoothly. Thankfully, it couldn’t have went better. The event roared to life with 85 classic cars registered, each one a masterpiece of automotive history. From muscle cars to vintage beauties, the lineup was nothing short of spectacular. Door prizes kept the energy high, with attendees on the edge of their seats, hoping to snag some cool swag. And let’s not forget the taco truck that rolled in to keep everyone fueled up with authentic tacos, burritos and tamales. Our showroom was open for all to see, flaunting over 70 classics ready for a new home, while our restoration shop showcased all the projects we’ve got in the pipeline. It was a car lover’s dream come true.

One of the show’s crown jewels is our 1973 Ford Bronco build. Sitting on a robust Kincer chassis, this Bronco’s focus is on reliability and drivability, with a 5.0L Coyote engine and 10-speed automatic combination. The addition of Tractive adaptive suspension takes ride quality to the next level, while the four-wheel disc brakes guarantee it stops on a dime. This Bronco isn’t just a rebuild; it’s a statement of modern engineering blended with classic charm.

And then there’s Dain’s ’68 Corvette, which is set to be an absolute show-stopper. Built on a SpeedTech chassis, this ‘Vette is getting a heart transplant in the form of a 427ci LST V8 from Mast Motorsports, cranking out a whopping 700 horsepower. It’s getting everything from massive brakes, to ABS, to traction control, to massive tires on all four corners. The cantilever IRS setup promises superb handling, while the Forgeline wheels and widebody design will add an aggressive stance that’s hard to ignore. The best of both worlds is the focus of this car. Form meets function.

Battle in Bama Show Video – OBS Nationals 2024 At Talladega SuperSpeedway With Not Stock Photo

Battle in Bama is one of the must attend shows of the year, and there were a ton of awesome rides on hand this year just like you’d expect. It used to be held at Battleship Park in Mobile, but had to move for this year and ended up at Talladega Super Speedway. This is an epic truck show, but features lots of cars as well. And if you are an OBS fan then this was the show for you this year for sure. Check out all the cool rides in this latest video from our pal John Jackson at Not Stock Photography, as he catches all the cool stuff we wished we were there to see.

John is back at it, hitting more cool shows and grabbing all kinds of cool rides in the process. This week it’s the Goodguys BASF Nationals from Nashville Superspeedway. This is a cool race track, and makes for a great backdrop for a Goodguys Show. And as you would expect from a Goodguys show, there were muscle cars, trucks, customs, hot rods, and everything in between. These shows have some of the best variety you are going to find anywhere and thanks to John Jackson at NotStock Photo, you get to see them all.

The first video below is going to be all the cars and trucks and cool stuff rolling through the gates on Saturday. The second video is going to be the Goodguys Hot Rod of the Year competition, and if you want to see who got the nod to be one of the finalists, and who took home the award, you are going to want to check it out.

Neither Rain nor heat nor gloom of Night will stop GoodGuys from hosting the Hotrod of the Year competition haha Seriously though when you watch this video you will see why this show is always in my top 5 events of the Year. Special thanks to the guys from Adams Hotrods for Letting me bum around with them, and putting up with my goofy laugh. Nashville was so much fun I have two videos for you this year so make sure you check out the show car only video as well. As always thanks for taking the time to watch.

I see Fred and Witty and the rest of the 1320Video crew fairly regularly as we attend some of the same shows and races around the country each year, and we often find ourselves talking about the cool rides and cool people at these events. It is always fun to see the reactions of folks who’s cars and trucks catch Fred or Witty’s eyes, as these folks sometimes can’t believe it. Sure, we’re all used to seeing the best of the best and the big names, but that doesn’t mean they are the only thing worth seeing at an event. All kinds of folks build all kinds of rad rides and we love seeing all of them. So this list of the Top 10 LS Swaps that Fred and Witty saw at LSFest West in Las Vegas feature some pretty cool rides you’ll dig. I know I did!

Pete & Jakes Open House Video – Some Awesome Hot Rods Were Celebrating 50 Years of Legendary Hot Rods in Peculiar Missouri

John at NotStockPhoto is back at it with another great event video. This time it is from the 50th Anniversary Show at Pete and Jakes, a company that has been a part of the hot rodding and racing industry for longer than most. They have been a company who’s products and reputation speak for themselves, and it shows with the cars and trucks that showed up for their show in Peculiar, Missouri. Yep, Peculiar is the name of the Kansas City suburb that is home to Pete and Jakes, but most of the cars and trucks on hand were anything but. Check out the video below.

I hadn’t even planned on being here…….

I was in Texas talking to Swillco about photographing his roadster that he was picking up in Havasu, then heading back to Minnesota. When I was asking what his plans were, he said he was just going to leisurely make his way East(well as leisurely as a Hot Rod Builder can haha) when he mentioned he was going to the Pete & jakes Open House in Peculiar Missouri.

I have passed their shop a million times headed south, but had never taken the time to stop, and seeing it was their 50th Anniversary Celebration I figured it was a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.

I’m really glad I made the trip because it was awesome, and more like a family reunion than going to a car show with just great hotrod family hanging out.

I basically just stood at the front and filmed car after car filing into the very small hotrod shop parking lot, so I had a pretty easy day. haha

Hope you enjoy the video as much as I did making it.

Lone Star Throwdown Video: This Show Is Epic, And Now Instead Of Just Having Photos We’ve Got This Great Video Of All The Cool That Was On Hand In Texas!

I hit the Lone Star Throwdown in Conroe Texas this year, and as usual was blown away by the turnout. Lone Star Throwdown, or LST as it’s often referred to, is one of the premier custom truck shows in the country. It also happens to be one of a few of those that happen in the state of Texas. It’s also one of my favorites. This show draws folks from all over the country, along with Canada and Mexico. There were insane numbers of trucks and some really cool stuff we loved. As usual, we did our best to shoot a ton of photos so we have great galleries to share below.

If you are a custom truck fan then you know the gang from GrinderTV and those dudes have been shooting awesome videos for years from all the best shows. Lone Star Throwdown is no different and so we’re glad to be able to share their video from this year’s Lone Star Throwdown. Check it out below.

I’m glad that John Jackson was on hand to cover the Lonestar Deluxe show in Texas City, because I’ve always heard that this one is something special. In its 11th year, the following clearly just keep growing. With hundreds of custom cars and trucks on the grounds, it wasn’t hard for John to capture cool stuff to share with all of us. Man I’m such a Slacker………

Sam Navarro is one of my oldest and Best Friends. Every Year he invites me to Texas City Texas for Lonestar Deluxe (because he knows I love Custom Cars) and every Year I’ve had an excuse why I couldn’t come. Well this Year I marked my calendar early to finally attend because I’m a Texas based Photographer, and I’m rarely in Texas.(I’m trying to change that)

I showed up early to try, and catch as many cars rolling in as possible because who wants to just see cool cars sitting around when you can see/hear them. I was blown away by the well over 400 cars in attendance, and the bands that they had booked………..but I did skip out on the Habanero Pepper Eating Contest haha.

Texas City is a port city just north of Galveston so if you need a awesome show to attend that the family can vacation at this is a great choice cars show and the Beach what else do you need.

Thanks to Sam, Cody, and His staff for putting up with me missing the past 10 events, but I guess 11th time is a charm haha Thanks for Watching

GoodGuys LMC Truck Lonestar Nationals 2024 – Rad Trucks and Hotrods Blow into Texas Motor Speedway

The Goodguys Lonestar Nationals is always a great show, but this year the weather was looking ominous leading up to it. Lots of folks were worried that it would get rained out completely, but after a bit of rain the rest of the weekend was salvaged and the Goodguys show ended up being great. I was at another event this year, but last year we had a great time walking the show and hanging out with friends. Which is exactly what John Jackson did while visiting the show. He shot some great video while he was on hand shooting photos and car features, and put it all together to share with all of us.

You’d never tell by the crowd on Saturday that they were calling for gnarly thunderstorms this weekend in Texas.

I couldn’t believe the crowd on Saturday after we had to take a couple of show breaks Friday due to rain.

We weren’t sure we’d be able to get all the photoshoots done this weekend so we planned the truck cover shoot for Friday night……..we just crossed our fingers and hoped. We were pleasantly surprised when we even had to wait for the sun to go down a bit before we could take the thumbnail image.

Hope you enjoy the video this is one of my favorite GoodGuys events every year, and went well above my expectations……… thanks for taking the time to watch.

MiniTruckin Nationals Photos From Maggie Valley North Carolina – Old School, New School, Mini’s And More!

I didn’t make it out to the 2024 Mini Truckin Nationals in Maggie Valley, but boy I can’t wait for next year. That’s because our friend Damon Steinke from E3Extreme hit the show and shared some photos with us. Everyone that attends this show talks about how great it is, with a very nice show grounds, great community in Maggie Valley, and cruising that is what custom trucks are all about. The common theme with this show is fun and family and no drama. The stores, gas stations, motels, and restaurants in Maggie Valley are all super welcoming and love having this event in their town. The Police are also super welcoming and let everyone cruise with zero issues, as long as nobody is doing donuts or burnouts in the streets. And this is a mini truck event, that’s not what we’re really all about.

We’re much more about dragging, cruising, and hanging out. It’s the custom truck culture way.

So here are the photos from Damon and, along with videos from this event, they make me want to go next year with my own mini. We should start planning now.
